Cloud9 knocked out Astralis with a 2-0 victory at the ECS Season 1 Finals (16-9 on Dust2 and 16-8 on Overpass).

Following the first match of the day which saw Ninjas in Pyjamas get eliminated by G2, Astralis faced Cloud9 in Group B's elimination match. In their previous matches in London, the Danes lost to TSM while the North Americans were beaten by fnatic.

Dust2 was the opening map and Cloud9 started on the CT-side. Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham got two kills to open the pistol round and the North Americans cleaned it up to make it 1-0. Astralis had an early weapon purchase in the third round and Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen's entry kill brought the round to the Danes but Cloud9 responded immediately (3-1).

n0thing was the man of the first map

Astralis returned the favor and reset Cloud9's economy as they trailed 2-3. Alec "Slemmy" White clutched a 1vs2 in the following round and Cloud9 made it 4-2 although they didn't have armor. Nicolai "device" Reedtz & co. secured their third round near the end of the half and trailed 4-11 at halftime.

Cloud9 grabbed the pistol round and the anti-ecos of the second half (14-4). Astralis got on board in the second half's first weapon round to start a five round streak but Cloud9 closed out the map 16-9.

Overpass opened up with Jake "Stewie2K" Yip's 1vs2 pistol round clutch on the T-side and although the North Americans won the ecos and had a 5vs2 advantage in the first weapon round, dupreeh clutched a 1vs3 to win the weapon round.

Kjaerbye couldn't put on his usual performance
